The third instalment of my anti ageing month special is all about Palmers Eventone Dark Spot Corrector.
I was eager to try Palmers Eventone Dark Spot Corrector as I have got some dark patches on my face as a result of holidaying whilst pregnant (called Chloasma, but more commonly known as the ‘Pregnancy Mask’.) This product has been introduced to help even out and brighten skin tone, resulting in a more youthful complexion. It claims to help improve pigmentation and diminish discolouration caused by sun damage, hormonal changes and acne. I have used Palmers Cocoa Butter on and off for years, so it is a brand I really like and I was interested to see how this product would compare to Palmer’s other products.
The product contains Cocoa Butter to help soften and soothe skin, Soy to brighten and restore skin radiance, Licorice Extract to help improve tone and texture, Synovea HR to safely inhibit Melanin production and further protect from sun damage, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) to help reduce dark spots, Vitamin C to help brighten skin and again reduce Melanin production and Songyi Mushroom (Japanese Mushroom) for pigment perfecting properties.
The product itself is a gel consistency and is applied underneath your usual moisturiser. It has a very silky texture and applies easily. It sinks in to skin well and there is no sticky residue (which I expected.)
I have been using for about three to four weeks now and it has definitely improved my dark patches, they have faded slightly and I think with continual use, they might fade considerably. The Palmers Eventone range includes several other products including a body milk and a hand cream. I am definitely going to try the body milk as I have dark patches on my chest too, from sunbathing too much when I was younger.
The Palmers Eventone range is available at Boots, Superdrug, Asda and Amazon.co.uk. The Palmers Eventone Dark Spot Corrector currently retails at £9.99. For more information visit http://uk.palmers.com/
