I am writing about a topic close to my heart in November, ‘Anti Ageing’. I am reviewing a number of products over the month which have been put forward by PR companies specifically aimed at ‘Anti Ageing’. I will be reviewing the products over the next few weeks and discussing them throughout November. Hopefully I will look 10 years younger by the time it comes to Christmas!

 Colladeen Visage from Natures Best.

This is the first product I have tried and I have high hopes for this product as I have read a lot of good reviews about Colladeen Visage. Natures Best claim it is their ‘Hero’ product and I am certainly hoping it’s mine too! They recommend you take the tablets for at least 8 weeks and I started the course on Monday 21st October so I will give an update after four weeks to see if there have been any changes in my skin. The claim’s Natures Best and their nutritionist Dr Sam Christie PhD make are below:

The ‘Hero’ product for anti-ageing

In a UK first, a clinical study showed a daily tablet could significantly improve skin firmness, reduce wrinkle depth and even provide a natural sun protection factor (SPF) of 10 in 12 weeks and SPF of 15 in 24 weeks. The little pink tablet Colladeen® Visage – a potent mix of natural plant extracts high in lutein and anthocyanidins – has attracted much media attention and incredible sales. Nutritionist Dr Sam Christie PhD comments: “This is a true gem of a product both in terms of its astounding regenerative effects on ageing skin but also its affordability. Having closely followed the scientific evolution of these flavonoid (anthocyanidins) and carotenoid (lutein) plant-based materials over the years since my own clinical work, it’s clear they have multiple effects on skin tissue. Colladeen Visage reduces consequences of ageing on skin such as wrinkles, lack of firmness and also offers a moderate sun-protection”.

After reading these comments, I am keen to see the effects on firmness and wrinkles especially on my face and I will keep you posted on the progress. Colladeen has won a plethora of awards and been featured in the coveted Harpers Bazaar ‘Beauty Hot 100’ so it will be interesting to see if it lives up to the hype.

Four Week Update

19th November 2013 – I said I would give an update on my skin after four weeks of using the Colladeen Visage tablets. My skin has generally been a lot clearer over the last couple of weeks and the main thing I’ve noticed is, it feels a lot more nourished and isn’t as dry as it normally is during the winter months. The information which comes with the Colladeen Visage skincare tablets advises to take these tablets for at least eight weeks to get results, so I will give another update in four weeks time.
