Christmas Gifts – Seventeen, Models Own and Eye of Horus
I have featured the Seventeen range in this Christmas special as I think they have some really amazing products at the moment and are really great value… perfect for stocking fillers.
The ‘Nail Effects’ Nail polishes are a great way to update your normal nail polish and come in a variety of finishes. I tried the ‘Power Pastels’ in Bright Pink, a really vivid matte finish pink and then applied the ‘Polka Dots’ in Black Red Mix over the top for a quirky nail design. Both versions retail at £3.99 in Boots.
I also tried the Seventeen Lip Lustre in ‘3 Little Words’. The Lip Lustre is a really comforting non sticky lipgloss and this shade (see swatch below) is perfect for the festive season. They also retail at £3.99 in Boots. Finally, the last product I tried was the ‘Make your Mark’ precision eye liner. This liquid eye liner gives a good glossy colour and the pen is really easy to use and gives a concise application. The shape of the nib allows a really thick line or a really thin line which allows you to create a variety of looks, another beauty steal at £3.99, Boots. I really like the updated Seventeen makeup range as it allows you to buy on trend products at really reasonable prices and I think they make great stocking fillers for most women.
Models Own My Midori Hair Chalk
Midori melon liqueur has teamed up with Models Own to create the ‘My Midori’ hair chalk in a vibrant shade of green. This is a great fun stocking filler and is easy to use and achieve an instant hair update. To apply, the chalk is simply rubbed in to hair and you can use hairspray to set the colour. It’s easy to remove too and comes out very quickly with shampoo. I have tried the chalk on the ends of my hair to get more of a subtle look but I’m sure there are loads of people out there who could carry off the full on ‘midori green’ look. The Models Own My Midori Hair Chalk retails at £6 at Models Own.
Eye of Horus Scarab Sapphire Goddess Eye Pencil
I have tried several of the Eye of Horus Goddess Eye Pencils now and this new shade doesn’t disappoint. It’s a really vivid indigo colour whilst still being quite subtle. It’s a really wearable colour, especially for the Festive season if you want to get a bit of a makeup update. I love the Goddess eye pencils as they are really soft and creamy to apply, they don’t drag the eye area at all but they have really good staying power. Another great stocking filler idea, they retail at £17.00 at Beauty Bay.
