I have tried so many wonderful amazing products over the last year and I wanted to showcase my favourite discoveries from 2013.

There were five products I tried this year, which really stood out and are my current favourites across skin care and makeup. They include:

Elemis Pro Radiance Cream Cleanser

Laura Mercier Primer – Radiance

Sarah Chapman Skinesis Age Repair Serum

Maybelline Dream Touch Blush

Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micelle Solution

Elemis Pro Radiance Cream Cleanser

This is by far one of the best cleansers I have used. It’s great for dry skin and doesn’t leave my skin red and tingling after use like some cleansers I have used in the past. It removes makeup and grime really well and leaves skin looking really radiant and clean. You can use with mitts to remove or if you are lazy like me, massage in and then remove with cotton wool or water.

Laura Mercier Primer – Radiance

I had heard great reviews about this primer before trying for myself and I wasn’t disappointed when I eventually got round to buying this. Applied on to skin before makeup, this gives skin a luminous healthy glow. After makeup is applied, it ensures makeup lasts really well and gives a really polished look to makeup and the complexion, a definite winner for me!

Sarah Chapman Skinesis Age Repair Serum

I was very excited to try this serum, as I had been after it for a while after reading about it in the Anti Ageing Beauty Bible. Interestingly, in the latest edition of the Anti Ageing Beauty Bible (2013), this product has held on to its award as one of the best in the Serum category.

This serum plumps up skin and leaves it glowing. I have been relying on this to get me through the busy Christmas party season, applying before going to bed to make me look as though I have had more sleep than I have been getting!  It makes my complexion look fresher and makeup goes on a lot more smoothly.

Maybelline Dream Touch Blush

Cream blushers…. what can I say, that I haven’t already said over the last few months? I am literally in love with cream blushers and Maybelline’s Dream Touch Blush are my current favourites. I love the consistency as they literally melt in to the skin and perk up pallid winter complexions.  I also think the range of shades they have are great and I have recently introduced the peach shade in to my life (review coming soon!)

Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micelle Solution

Finally, 2013 seemed to be the year of the ‘Micellar’ water discovery and I am very happy to have discovered Bioderma’s version. This cross between a cleanser/toner is great at removing all trace’s of grime and makeup up gently from the skin. I have been using for over five months now and I think it has definitely improved the appearance of my skin as it removes a lot more grime than a toner alone does, whilst still soothing the skin.

So that was my favourite beauty discoveries from 2013. I can’t wait to try loads of new products in 2014 and look forward to telling you about my new beauty discoveries. Thanks to you all for reading my blog over the last few months… Happy New Year!

I also have Sensibio among my best finds for 2013. I read a lot of reviews and wanted to buy but never gave a try to cream brushes. Maybe I should…
