I’ve been a ‘Sheer Blonde’ convert for probably the last 15 years or so (ever since i started having my mousy brown hair highlighted blonde) and it’s hard to believe that the John Frieda haircare brand is 25 years old! For the last few years I have been using the Sheer Blonde Colour Renew range as this has a lilac tint which is great for taking the ‘yellowness’ out of blonde hair. When i saw that John Frieda had created a new set of products in the Sheer Blonde range, I thought I would give them a try.
I bought the ‘Everlasting Blonde Colour Preserving’ Shampoo, which the blurb basically says should keep your blonde colour looking freshly coloured. The shampoos consistency is quite creamy and feels quite moisturising and luxurious to the touch.
I always tend to use too much shampoo when i’m washing my hair, but with this product you really don’t need to use a lot as it lathers up really well. I didn’t use the conditioner in the range as i’m currently trialling John Frieda’s new revamped luxurious volume range ( details to follow in another post!) When I dried my hair I was pleasantly suprised, my colour did look brighter and shinier and it has been quite dull recently as i’m due to have my hair highlighted in the next couple of weeks. It made my hair feel really soft too and in better condition, which is an added bonus!
I will definitely continue to use this shampoo alongside the ‘Colour Renew’ shampoo as I think using both will keep my hair looking brighter and take the dullness out. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this product to people with blonde and highlighted hair.
I bought the shampoo at Boots for £5.89 (Boots currently have an offer on John Frieda on selected products, two for £8, however I don’t know how long this is on for.)
