I often review some fairly expensive products but I have many products in my makeup bag which I consider to be  my essential/ go to products  and they all retail at under £10.

Avon Glimmerstick Brow Definer – Blonde £6

This is my absolute favourite eyebrow pencil, I literally cannot leave the house without finishing my brows off with this. I get so worried about it running out that I always have at least 2 in stock. This shade is perfect for my brows. It is called ‘Blonde’ but my brows are more of a light brown colour and this defines them perfectly. The applicator is great too, as it never needs sharpening. I won’t use anything else on my brows and have never found any other brow definer as perfect for my brows as this little beauty!

Collection 2000 Fast Stroke Liquid Eyeliner – Brown – £2.99

I wear liquid eyeliner on my top lids most days. I find black a bit harsh for everyday so I use a Brown shade. The Collection 2000 liquid eyeliner colour is perfect as it is a deep brown (not wishy washy like many others I’ve tried) but its just a bit more forgiving for everyday wear. I also love this brush applicator  as it is really firm and doesn’t bend which makes it easier to draw on a smooth line. I also have this in black for when I want a bit more emphasis and tend to wear this on an evening if i’m going out.

Max Factor Earth Spirits  Eyeshadows- Pale Pebble -£4.99

The perfect base eyeshadow. I use this product as a base, before adding my darker eyeshadows. It is the perfect base and also a great highlighter around the brow bone area. It is a neutral cream colour with a tiny bit of shimmer. I use a light covering all over my eye during the day, but you can layer it on around the brow area for a more highlighted look.

Maybelline Dream Touch Blush – Berry – £6.49

I have been using cream blushes for a while now (ever since I read they made your skin look younger than powder blusher!) This is my favourite for everyday looks ( and I have tried a few.) It is a really flattering pinky/plum colour and I feel that it always perks my skin up when I use this product. It has a really creamy consistency and blends really well so you aren’t left with really obvious ‘Aunt Sally’ cheeks ( now I really am showing my age!!) This is another makeup staple that I can’t live without.

All the products, with the exception of the Avon Glimmerstick can be purchased at Boots . For more information visit www.boots.com and www.avonshop.co.uk
