Products I’m loving Now!
I haven’t done a post like this for a while, so here’s a run down of some of the beauty products and makeup I have been really impressed with recently.
Temple Spa Windows of the Soul – Eye Treatment Gel-Cream – This is an amazing eye cream which perks up the whole eye area. I tried it at a Temple Spa party recently and applied to one eye so I could see the difference it makes. It literally cools, tightens and brightens the eye area. It is a godsend for me at the moment with all the sleepless nights I have had. £28 Temple Spa.
L’Occitane Divine Cream – This is a bit of a luxury splurge item but it is worth it. I had read about this moisturiser in the The Anti-Ageing Beauty Bible as it was an award winner in the Anti Ageing Miracle Cream category. After reading this, I read all the reviews on the L’Occitane website and everyone who had reviewed was raving about this wonder cream. It contains organic Immortelle and Myrtle essential oils which help to stimulate the production of collagens and improve skin microcirculation which helps to reduce damage caused by premature ageing. It gives skin a wonderful glow and feels really nourishing as if it is actually repairing the skin on application. My skin definitely looks more radiant after use. It is pricey but you only need a tiny amount as it is quite rich. £74 L’Occitane
Nip + Fab No NeedleFix Serum – This serum is my skin saviour at the moment. My friend bought this for me for Christmas and I started using around May time ( only because my skin was so dry over the winter months and I couldn’t use anything other than a really thick moisturiser before that.) This serum helps to smooth out wrinkles and plump up the skin. I apply this gel like serum every morning before the moisturiser above and it literally brightens and tightens my whole facial area. The great thing about this serum is that whilst is tightens the skin, it also plumps up the skin at the same time. It’s really rejuvenating and non drying, so perfect for drier skin types. Available here.
Mustela 9 Months – Post Partum Body Restructuring Gel – I have been using this product since April when I had my daughter and I have just about come to the end of it now. It is a really gentle gel formula aimed at helping to tighten up slackened skin and reducing puffiness. It is perfect for sensitive post pregnant skin as it really is very gentle and applies and sinks in really easily without having to rub already slack skin! It has definitely improved the appearance of the skin on my stomach. I love the whole Mustela range for Children and pregnancy, all the products are really gentle but effective. Available here.
Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick – Rose (803) – These amazing new lipsticks from Revlon give great colour and feel weightless on the lips. They are a gel like formulation but are not overly glossy. They give a really intense colour but feel weightless and give a very smooth coverage. I chose this nude rose shade which is perfect for everyday wear. I am eyeing up several of the other shades now too! £7.99 here.
Maybelline Master Drama Khol Liner – Dark Brown – I have been looking for a good brown eyeliner for a while now. I always tend to wear brown as it find it a bit more forgiving than black for day-to-day wear. Many pencil liners tend to be dry and drag the skin but this one is a really creamy formulation which applies very easily. The colour is great too, a highly pigmented intense brown colour. It lasts very well and is an absolute bargain at £4.49. It has given my favourite Eyes of Horus one a good run for its money and is cheaper too. Available at Boots.
