YSL Makeup Haul

YSL Makeup Haul

This was the other post I said I would write as although not strictly a haul, I received a few YSL  items for my birthday and I said I would swatch/review after trying them. My YSL goodies included:

Le Teint Touche Éclat – BD 50 Beige Dore

Touche Éclat – No3 Luminous Peach

Babydoll Kiss & Blush – No5 Rouge Effrontee

Couture Eye Palette – No3

Touche Éclat – No3 Luminous Peach

I don’t really think I need to talk much about the Touche Éclat, I think most people have used this and the sheer number of awards it has won, with countless amazing reviews speak for themself. This is the best under eye concealer/highlighter pen by far for me. I use shade no.3 (Luminous Peach) which is perfect for my medium skin tone and blends seamlessly with the YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation (see further down.)

 YSL Babydoll Kiss & Blush

I have been lusting after this since it’s release earlier this year.  The Babydoll Kiss & Blush is basically what it says it is and can be used on lips or cheeks or both. It is a satin formula which is really smoothing when applied to the lips and dries to a matte finish. Same when applied on the cheeks, the light satin formulation allows it to be blended really easily. The shade I have is No5 Rouge Effrontee a bright coral-red colour (swatch below). It looks quite shiny on the swatch below but it does dry to a matte finish. The formulation is really nice and not drying at all, in fact it feels quite moisturising to say it is a matte formula. I have tried the YSL Glossy Stains in the past and I find these a lot sheerer and slightly drying, but this is completely different. I chose this particular shade to wear on my lips rather than cheeks but there is a coral shade which I would also like to try as I think this would be perfect for cheeks too. The ‘pearl’ applicator is really clever too and allows a really precise application on the lips. I can see why this product has won one of the prestigious ‘Tatler Beauty Awards’ this year.

Le Teint Touche Éclat – BD 50 Beige Dore

This is a new foundation for me but now I have used this I won’t be changing for a while (ha ha famous last words!) but seriously, this is amazing! Le Teint Touche Eclat conceals imperfections whilst making skin look dewy and radiant. It basically does what Touche Éclat does for the under eye area but all over the face. It is a medium heavy coverage but it doesn’t feel heavy at all. It’s great for my dry skin and doesn’t emphasis crows feet and fine lines at all, it literally glides over and erases them. It does make skin look really radiant after use. One to try if you haven’t already!

Couture Eye Palette – No3

I love these new glam Couture Eye Palettes from YSL. Another product I have been coveting for a while.  Each palette contains five gorgeous complimentary shades including a base colour, highlighter and three colours. This one is a mix of bronze, gold and a deep rich brown shade. The palettes come with a guide if you are unsure how to use the colours but I would just say have a go at experimenting with them. This particular palette is great for creating a softer bronze smokey eye. I have swatched the colours below but due to my poor photography skills… they haven’t come out particularly well!
